With the 2019 Women of Distinction even, we celebrate 102 years of delivering leadership development programs to girls in Hawai`i, we salute the women leaders in our community who have helped to make a difference.

We are proud to honor three women who exemplify our mission of courage, confidence, and character in their personal and business lives making their communities a better place. We look toward the future with the vision and commitment of these role models and our dedicated volunteers and team members to provide young girls with opportunities for fun and friendship while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem. 

Otis College 36th Annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show

Affair: Otis College 36th Annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show

Deets:  Each year, the Benefit black-tie event features Los Angeles' largest fashion runway show with more than 70 professional models in 125-plus fashion designs for women, men, and juniors. A creative crowd of leaders in fashion and entertainment get a glimpse of the future of fashion design from those who invent it, Otis College fashion design students.

Mission:  The event raises vital scholarship funding for students of all departments. Many of these promising young artists and designers (80% of whom require financial aid) would be unable to complete their education without this support.

James Beard Foundation Rise Gala

Deets:  JBF Gala: Rise is a celebration of the countless ways our food community rises to meet the world’s challenges and make it a better, sustainable, more delicious place. The event will showcase chefs who embody the leadership, diversity, and tenacity that the James Beard Foundation supports everyday through our Scholarship, Women’s Leadership, and Impact programs.

Mission: The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America's food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone. Through the James Beard Awards, unique dining experiences at the James Beard House and around the country, scholarships, hands-on learning, and a variety of industry programs that educate and empower leaders in our community, the Foundation has built a platform for chefs and asserted the power of gastronomy to drive behavior, culture, and policy change around food.

The goal of our annual Gala event is unite our communities from Hollywood, to Corporate partners, to the elite of Beverly Hills...all joining together to help raise funds and awareness for the work that we do to help survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and other cruel acts of crime. In celebration of our 10 Year Anniversary, Face Forward hopes to raise over a Million Dollars to support even more survivors from around the world. Guests attending the 2018 La Dolce Vita Gala will enjoy a decadent evening full with surprises, all supporting a great cause.
